We’ll be the first to admit we’re not musically gifted nor are we particularly talented in identifying new music… but we do appreciate how a solid playlist or live music can set the mood and serve as the perfect soundtrack to the most joyous occasion!

Behind-the-Scenes: Making the Playlists

We spent months (or years, if you count the spreadsheet Victoria started working on while we were in college) curating these playlists to set the mood for the different events of our wedding weekend. From the welcome cocktail party to pre-Highland Games pump-up music to the after after party, we had hours-long playlists of our favorite songs.

While we hired a harpist for our ceremony (with a special performance from Victoria’s brother — check out his music (Spotify)) and the cocktail hour that followed, we were fortunate to have had access to a surround sound speaker system that allowed us to have our playlists streaming throughout the house all-day long.

Now, don’t hold our choices against us! These picks were inspired by life events and memories we had, like dancing in a dirty fraternity basement at 2am while we were in college to the Coldplay concert we attended to mark the one-year countdown to our wedding.
