Love on Air: Romances ft. Podcasts & Radio Shows
ROUND UP
Romances Featuring Podcasts & Radio Shows
Love is in and on the air in these romance novels.
We’re leaning full-in on the radio waves in celebration of our March 2025 HoH Book Club pick: First-Time Caller by BK Borison (Amazon).
Victoria Loves Romances ft. Podcasts & Radio Shows
I love audiobooks, but really call me a fan of all things audio storytelling! From podcasts to talk radio, as long as it revolves around love, I’ll be listening in.
Given the theme of these books (and the fact that some are written by award-winning narrators), I recommend grabbing your earphones and streaming the audiobooks for these picks! Why not fully embrace the audio?
Favorite Scene
“I think everyone around you is waiting for you to accept yourself as you are now, so we can as well. And the bitch of it is you’re waiting for everyone to accept you as you are now so you can accept yourself and, sorry, but love, it’s your move. You’ve gotta go first.”

Romances ft. Podcasts & Radio Shows Recommendations
CO-HOSTS: The Ex Talk by Rachel Lynn Solomon (Amazon)
This workplace enemies-to-lovers romance features two “exes” on talk-radio dishing out relationship advice. True to the storyline, Rachel Lynn Solomon delivers witty banter, searing tension, and a must-listen to audiobook about a chart-topping podcast.
VICTORIA’S RATING: 4/5
LOVE THROUGH A COLLEGE RADIO SHOW: Begin Again by Emma Lord (Amazon)
A new school year means a fresh start, but for Andie Rose, it’s quite a rocky beginning when all her plans crumble at her feet. This new adult romance does a beautifully nostalgic job of bringing together the unease and excitement of the first few days of college and the journey to finding oneself (and love) amidst the chaos.

AN AUDIO-CENTRIC ROMANCE WORTH LISTENING TO: Thank You for Listening by Julia Whelan (Amazon)
The queen of audio has released a masterpiece, and then she narrated the audiobook herself! This is a must-listen because in true Julia fashion, you will be transported into the story. While this romance gives us a peek behind the curtain of audiobook narration, Julia brings to life characters with so much depth as their profession weaves into their personal (and intimate) lives.
VICTORIA’S RATING: 4.5/5
FOR THE TRUE-CRIME PODCAST OBSESSED: The Other Side of Disappearing by Kate Clayborn (Amazon)
This story follows the adventures of sisters, Jess and Tegan, unwinding their reckless mother’s story through an investigative podcast who had run off with a known conman who became the subject of a wildly popular podcast. As the lies and life of her mother are unraveled, Jess finds that opening her heart to the vulnerability of her past can help her discover new love. This story is a little dark, a little tender, and at times, a little too real.
VICTORIA’S RATING: 3/5
THEY HAVE A PODCAST & SHE’S A GUEST STAR: Faking with Benefits by Lily Gold (Amazon)
A why-choose, reverse harem romance featuring three podcast hosts of a relationship advice / talk-show, who just happen to live across the hall from their best friend — a fiercely independent girl boss (who has terrible luck with dating). This friends to friends-with-benefits / fake-dating to lovers story is steamy and heartfelt.
VICTORIA’S RATING: 3/5
PODCASTING ON THE DL: The Royals Next Door by Karina Halle (Amazon)
Piper lives a double life that we can relate to (or at least aspire to) — an elementary school teacher by day, avid romance reader / anonymous podcaster by night. But when royals move in next door, Piper’s quiet life is suddenly under their bodyguard’s suspicious eye. But between us, is that the worst place to be?

The Best of the Best: Victoria’s Top Pick
FEATURING AN ANTI-VALENTINE ROMANCE: First-Time Caller by BK Borison (Amazon)
An HoH Book Club Pick! This new release is THE Valentine’s Day read you need. Beyond the fact that the MMC’s last name is literally Valen(tine) (even though he’s anti-Valentine), I am soooo in love with this book.
Based on the classic romcom, Sleepless in Seattle, this fresh take will have you swooning within the first couple of pages.
Friends, THIS BOOK WAS SO WELL-WRITTEN. I basically read every page aloud to James because I *needed* to share BK’s unworldly use of metaphor — she painted the most vivid scenes. You’ll read / hear the words, but you’ll *feel* them in every inch of your body from the squeeze of your heart to the free-fall of your stomach as it fills with butterflies.
Read my Sneak Peek!

Until the next chapter!
