Sneak Peek: Go Luck Yourself by Sara Raasch

ON OUR BOOKSHELF

Go Luck Yourself

by Sara Raasch

A love/luck story about two people finding each other as much as it is a story about learning to love oneself.

I fell in love with this series within the first few pages of The Nightmare Before Kissmas (Amazon) — it was just the cutest holiday romance. And once you’ve read the first book in this series, you’ll have a soft spot for Kris, and you’ll have been rooting for his HEA.

Unsurprisingly, I was just as quickly absorbed into this Go Luck Yourself. The concept of this series is fun— I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again: the holidays as royals is my jam! I’m a holiday gal through and through. Give me a reason to throw a party, to celebrate, to have a theme and I AM THERE and I’ll be proudly wearing a themed headband.

With that little teaser, I cannot wait for you to get your hands on this book! Read in March during the lead-up to St. Patrick’s Day for the full effect.

I am so grateful to have received an advanced reader’s copy of Go Luck Yourself via NetGalley.

The Sneak Peek

Go Luck Yourself is a love story about two people finding each other as much as it is one about learning to love oneself.

This sequel to The Nightmare Before Kissmas (Amazon) brings us Lochlann, the hot tempered Prince of St. Patrick’s Day, and Kristopher, the “spare” Claus of Christmas. After a rather explosive (and public) disagreement, their paths cross in the line of royal duty. And in the spirit of royal cordiality, these princes are forced to share a castle in the lead-up to St. Patrick’s Day.

As they spend more and more time together, it’s really only a matter of time before they need to choose between duty and love — will Kris (who has been trying his best to find stability and make choices for himself) and Loch (who has demons of his own hovering over his shoulder) choose each other? Or will they choose their own selves? But when secrets and hidden intentions are revealed, the choice might already be made….

What Victoria Loved

VICTORIA’S RATING: 4/5

The magic of St. Patrick’s Day AND Christmas. WHATS NOT TO LOVE?! I’ve loved St. Patrick’s Day since I was in second grade and walked into my elementary school to follow a trail of green glitter which brought me to my classroom where green bagels were sitting on each desk. To my young self, that was basically a pot of gold at the end of a green rainbow. Ever since, St. Patrick’s Day has been one of my favorite little holidays. And well, Christmas is my #1. I go all out for all things Christmas. So, when I learned that Kris’ story would combine these two holidays, my expectations were sky high… one might say, over the rainbow.

Well, I am so happy to say that Sara fully delivers! My stomach was full of butterflies and they could not be contained. The way my stomach was flipping!!! Friends, the chemistry between Lochlann and Kristopher is so evident, it was basically popping off the page like shamrocks in an Irish field. It’s HOT, and I wanted more. But it isn’t obnoxious. No. It’s soft and sweet, tender even in moments. Yes, there is frustration, but there’s vulnerability. And that’s what will draw you in.

Especially when you have a grumpy MMC with a sexy AF accent with a killer body (who looks “like a ginger Chris Evans from Knives Out”) — oh, AND HE PAINTS. FMU. And then you pair him up with a broody hopeless romantic tatted up MMC who spews poetry and writes love stories?! Okay, Sara was not playing fair. I still dream of the basement (cellar? studio?) scene. Sigh.

The banter is top notch. The steam is spicy (hello, “good boy”). The celebration is festive AF.

I’m already predicting that you’ll want to pick this up every March to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. And honestly, I’ll be right there with you. Sláinte!
